Ford Gray, 93, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at Bee Hive Homes of Philadelphia.

He was a native of Simpsonville/Greenville, South Carolina. He attended Clemson University and received a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. He was a longtime resident of St. Louis, Missouri and had made his home in Philadelphia for the past 11 years. Mr. Gray was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was an Eagle Scout in his youth.

Survivors include his daughter, Carolyn Emerson of Philadelphia; sons, David Gray of Geneva, Ill. and Steve Gray of Davis, Calif.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mr. Gray was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Creed Gray in November 2012.

Graveside services will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri at a later date.

McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
