Services for Mrs. Dean Hall Henderson were held Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at 2 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Kevin Vaughn officiating.  Burial followed in Ocobla Cemetery.  McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.


Mrs.  Henderson, 92, of Philadelphia, died Friday, October 5, 2018.


She was a native of the Forestdale Community and was a longtime resident of  Philadelphia.  She was a talented seamstress and loved gardening.  Mrs. Henderson was a member of East Philadelphia Baptist Church and attended Ocobla Baptist Church.


Survivors include her daughters, Jan McDaniel of Flowood, Gail (Alan) Breazeale of Philadelphia; stepsons, Joel (Sharon) Henderson of Greenville, John (Cinda) Henderson of Madison; son-in-law, Virgil Herring of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Tonya (Johnny) Morgan of Meridian, Allen(Tara) McDaniel of Flowood, Chad (Connie) Clark of Philadelphia, Trea (Tammy) Herring of Philadelphia, Kyley Clark of Philadelphia, Jarrod (Garnett) McDaniel of West Point, Olivia (Chris) Kneip of Flowood, Carla (Josh) Deweese of Philadelphia, Jonathan (Ellen) McDaniel of Madison, Tabatha (Chris) Grobe of Brandon, Timmy Breazeale of Philadelphia; 30 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews and their families.


Mrs. Henderson was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Henderson; daughter, Judy Herring; parents, Willie and Lydia Hall;  and twelve sisters and brothers.


Pallbearers were Allen McDaniel, Chad Clark, Trey Herring, Kyley Clark, Jarrod McDaniel, and Jonathan McDaniel.


Honorary pallbearers were Johnny Morgan, Chris Kneip and Josh Deweese.
