Services for Charles William Bounds were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Ninemire officiating. Burial followed in the Antioch Primitive Baptist Cemetery in Scott County, with Stephens Funeral Home of Union in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Bounds, age 83, of Union, went to his eternal home on Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at his home near Union. He was a member of Bluff Springs Church of God. Many will remember Charles from the days at Midland Shirt Factory. He served his country in the U S Army during the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Ruby Katherine White Bounds of Union; one daughter, Joyce B. Germany and husband, Freddie of Union; three grandchildren, Kevin Germany and wife, Sara, of Ocean Springs, Dwight Germany and wife, Brandi, of Alva, Okla. and Robin Pompelia and husband, Tyler, of Meridian; six great-grandchildren, Tanner Germany, Brayden Germany, Breanna Germany, Steven Germany, Mary Catherine Pompelia, and Katie Joyce Pompelia; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe and Mozell Harrison Bounds; four sisters; and two brothers.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Germany, Dwight Germany, Tyler Pompelia, Shannon White, Ricky Boler, and Edward Germany. Honorary bearers will be the Linwood Fire Department.
