Services for Buster Johnson were held Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013, at 3:30 p.m. from McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel.

The Rev. Jack Foster officiated. Burial followed in McLain Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Johnson, 60, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, at his home.

He was a native and longtime resident of Neshoba County. He raced Running Quarter Horses and was a gate starter for the Neshoba County Fair horse races. Mr. Johnson was currently employed with D&D Transport, Inc. in Meridian. He served in the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include sons, Clint Carney and Cody Johnson, both of Philadelphia; two grandsons; sisters, Martha Merritt of Pearl, Barbara Stovall of Grand Bay, Ala., Judy Johnson of Philadelphia, Johnnye Williams of Brandon, and Carrie Tyson of Butler, Ala.; and brother, Gene Johnson of Philadelphia.

Pallbearers were Zero Johnson, Tyler Spears, Buzz Merritt, Stephen Curtis, Deril Jones, Charlie Brown, Jay Eakes and Dale Beaty.
