Services for Bro. Charles Rhodes were held Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at 11 a.m. from Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.

The Rev. Ricky Wilcher and the Rev. Mack Alford officiated. Burial followed in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Bro. Rhodes, 72, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at home.

He was a native and longtime resident of the Johnsonville community in Neshoba County. He was a farmer, logger and former manager of the pulpwood operation for Molpus Lumber Company. Bro. Rhodes was a retired Baptist minister and formerly pastored at Center Hill Baptist Church, Mt. Olive Baptist Church (Stephenstown), Cedar Hill Baptist Church and New Hope Baptist Church (Lauderdale County). He served in the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include his wife, Charlene Rhodes; daughters, Rhonda McGee, Ramona Palmer and Sharon Thompson; son, Shannon Rhodes, all of Philadelphia; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Bobbie Jean Boswell of Byram.
