Services for Mrs. Betty Glyn Brantley Parker were held Friday, March 29, 2013, at 2 p.m. from John E. Stephens Chapel.

The Rev. Daniel Gilchrist officiated. Interment was in the Spring Creek Cemetery. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Parker, 83, died Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at Neshoba County Nursing Home.

She lived in Kemper County for 30 years and then made Philadelphia her home. Parker worked for Commercial Bank for 30 years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, D.O. (Otha) Brantley and Ruby McDonald Brantley; and sisters, Wanet Martin and Edith Brantley.

Survivors include husband, John L. Parker; daughter, Jan Partin; sons, John Keith Parker and Prentiss Parker; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Terry Jones, William Hamill, Jeff Kirkland, Ricky Deweese, Randy Deweese, Ronald Fulton and Jimmy Copeland.
