With the help of video surveillance, police were able to apprehend an alleged purse snatcher recently.

Christina K. Warren, 45, 10081 Road 2642, was charged with grand larceny for an incident which occurred on Sept. 5 at the Dollar General on Pecan Avenue.

According to Philadelphia Police Investigator Bobby Patillo, the victim left her purse in a shopping cart in the store. Patillo said surveillance footage showed Warren taking the shopping cart and walking around the store before removing the purse and leaving the business.

Patillo said the video help officers to identify Warren as a suspect and she was later arrested and charged with grand larceny.

Patillo said that the victim reported that the purse contained an undisclosed amount of money. He added that the purse has not been recovered.
