Laura J. Sullivan of Collinsville was recently selected computer network technology instructor at East Central Community College in Decatur, announced ECCC President Dr. Billy Stewart.

Sullivan, who began her new duties on August 12, 2013, was previously employed as a Systems Operator and PC/Network Technician at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian since 2009.

She previously worked for Ergon Incorporated as a Hardware Support Technician and for Meridian Public Schools as a PC Technician.

Sullivan currently serves as an adjunct instructor for Indiana Wesleyan University facilitating online classes for the College of Adult and Professional Studies in the areas of Computer and Information Processing, Desktop Applications, Hardware Troubleshooting and Operating Systems Concepts.

In addition, she is co-owner of Snap It Sports Photography in Meridian. She is also very active with the multimedia ministry at Midway Baptist Church.

A graduate of Meridian High School, Sullivan earned an associate of applied science degree from Meridian Community College in 2006; a bachelor of science degree (cum laude) in Information Technology from Columbia Southern University in Orange Beach, Ala., in 2009; and a master of science degree in Management-Information Systems Security from Colorado Technical University located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, in 2011.

She has also earned Microsoft Certified Professional designation.

She is married to Steven Sullivan of Collinsville.

Her parents are Larry and Sharon Johnson of Meridian.
