No one was injured Monday morning when a bullet went through a classroom at Exhibit Hall Headstart Center on Carver Avenue which was occupied by a teacher and two students.

Police Investigator Fredesz Moore said officers responded to a report of shots being fired in that area Monday morning.

Exhibit Hall Center Administrator Patty Curtis said one bullet shattered a window, came through a 3 and 4-year-old classroom and hit near a garbage can.

"The police found the bullet on the floor," she said. "A couple of children where sitting on a rug in the room. The teacher took them out of the classroom. We called 911."

The incident remains under investigation, Moore said.
