A Philadelphia man is behind bars on two felony counts of possession of illegal drugs following an investigation between the Neshoba County Sheriff’s Department and Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics.

Sheriff Tommy Waddell said that Willie Jones, 53, of Donald Avenue, was arrested and charged with one felony count of possession of cocaine and one felony count of possession of crystal methamphetamine. He remains in the Neshoba County Jail.

Waddell said that Jones was arrested last Wednesday in a local motel where he was found to be in possession of the two substances after the Sheriff’s Department received a tip. The Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics assisted with the execution of the search warrant.

The case will go before a Neshoba County grand jury.
