Police are investigating a hit-and-run that occurred in the early morning hours on Ivy Street in Philadelphia over the weekend.

Philadelphia Police Detective Bobby Pattillo said that officers responded to call reporting a man that had been hit on Ivy Street near the Sportsman Club around 3 a.m. on Sept. 15.

He said a 19-year-old black male was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene.

The name of the victim was not released.

Witnesses interviewed described the vehicle as dark in color.

The victim was transported to Neshoba General.

“He is ok,” Pattillo said. “He was not critically injured. I have not heard directly but I assume he has been released.”

Pattillo said that the case remains under investigation. As of Monday morning, they were still interviewing witnesses.
