These students represent a portion of the newly-formed Spanish Honor Society at Philadelphia High School.  The club is focused on utilizing the skills of high-performing Spanish students to unify and educate the community.  Their first outreach project was to adopt a needy family for Christmas.  Mrs. Angela Boatner, sponsor, and Mrs. Jeannnette Loyola, co-sponsor, worked together to find a family who needed help for the holidays.  When a family was located, the students got to work.  They bought and wrapped gifts for three young children who had recently lost their mother and provider.  The students couldn't wait to have this family enjoy their gifts and they look forward to engaging in more community outreach in the near future.  Projects are already underway for this semester.
