I, Ken Spears, announce my candidacy for the Office of Sheriff, of Neshoba County, in the Republican Primary. I have served the citizens for 19 years as Constable, Place 2. During that time, I have met many good people and have been able to help many of you. I’ve seen the needs of the people first hand. You have allowed me to become a part of your lives. I believe that I can do much more as Sheriff, and I humbly ask for your prayers and support.

My heart is in law enforcement and it’s something I cannot turn away from. After the opportunity become available, I knew in my heart that it was time for me to step-up and seek election to the office of Sheriff.

As your Sheriff, I promise to be tough on the war on drugs in this county, as well as crimes against our children and senior citizens.

After driving a school bus for 19 years for Neshoba Central, the future of our youth and children are close to my heart. While working closely, as Constable, with the courts, Circuit, Chancery, Justice and Youth, I have seen the damage drugs have caused in so many families. Because of this, I want to try my best to make a real difference as your Sheriff.

My community involvement includes the following:

*Member of Linwood Baptist,

*Master Mason,

*Member Neshoba Co. Shrine Club.

*Member of Linwood Vol. Fire Dept.

since 1987, as fireman, and currently, on Board of Directors

I am married to the former Lanette Graham, of Sebastopol. We have two sons, Wesley & Brandi (Mathes) Spears, and son, Chase, from Linwood, and Nathan & Reagan (Joyner) Spears of Arlington. My father-in-law is the late Clay Graham. My parents are the late Mr. & Mrs. Virgil Spears.

Finally, my promise to you is that I will be a tough, but fair Sheriff. I want to be available to the public. Please call me at 601-416-3171.
