One man was injured during a Friday afternoon robbery.

Police Chief Bill Cox said Kedric Steele was injured while trying to purchase vehicle rims from an individual on June 28 between 5:30 and 6 p.m.

"He was visiting a residence on Breland Street," Cox said. "While there he was grabbed from behind, struck in the forehead and kicked after he fell to the ground."

While no arrests have been made, two suspects are being sought, Cox said.

Taken in the robbery was $1,800, which Steele paid for the rims, Cox said.

Steele was taken to Neshoba County General Hospital by a family member.

He was treated and released.

"The theory is they let Mr. Steele go," Cox said. "They got what they wanted and left him there."
