NCHS Class of 1984 Reunion

CHANGE IN BOARD MEETINGS
The regular scheduled board meetings of the Board of Trustees of the Philadelphia Public School District has been changed to the second Tuesday of the month. The board will meet in the Support Services Facility adjacent to Philadelphia High School at 5:15 p.m. each month.
The Magnolia State Bluegrass Association's Summer Show will be held on Saturday, July 19 at 1 p.m. at the Choctaw County Community Center in Ackerman. Featured Bluegrass bands include Southern Flair, Tyler Carroll & The Pine Ridge Bluegrass, Red Hills Strings, and Alan Sibley & The Magnolia Ramblers. Admission is $10. The Partnership Community Outreach Meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 8, at 5:30 p.m. at the Neshoba County Coliseum. Leaders from various agencies will be available to discuss their programs and how you can apply. Topics may include: Conservation Programs, Conservation Technical Assistance, Disaster Programs, Farm Lending, and Small Farmer Loans.

The Alzheimer's Association will be holding a workshop called Living with Alzheimer's for Caregivers: Tips Throughout the Stages on Monday, July 21 from 2-3:30 p.m. at the Pearl View Cafe at Neshoba County General Hospital. Revival at Coldwater Baptist Church
Revival services will be held at Coldwater Baptist Church July 13-16. Sunday services will be at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday-Wednesday services will begin at 7 p.m. Bro. Steve Winstead will be the guest speaker. Howard and Susie Lockey will be in charge of the music. The public is invited to attend.

Youth Football Skills and Drills Camp
The camp is for ages 7-13 and will be held on Saturday, July 12 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Northside Park Soccer Complex in Philadelphia. Mt. Olive M.B. Church Revival

Back to School Supply Drive
The Pendleton Square Apartments Back to School Supply Drive is asking for: backpacks, #2 pencils, chalk, notebooks, art supplies, crayons, notebook paper, erasers, pencil boxes, blunt tip scissors, folders, colored pencils, glue sticks and rulers. TREK AROUND MISSISSIPPI
Something happened in Mississippi that has only happened east of the Mississippi two times in history ever; a witch burned down a town; Mississippi's tie to the space station/Space Shuttle and it is not NASA facilities; and Mississippi State is the only place in the U.S. that makes this product.
Answers to these mysteries plus a whole lot more interesting odd historical places and facts will be presented in a program conducted by Bary Evans at the Neshoba County Public Library, July 9 at 2 p.m.

Steven Thomas of The Neshoba Democrat will be the featured presenter for Sights of Summer: Building Photography Basics, June 19 through July 17.
It meets weekly on Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. The program will be conducted over the course of five weeks for the amateur photographer who wishes to enhance their ability to take good photographs.
Patrons will need to provide their own cameras. Selected photographs taken by the participants will be displayed in the library. Refreshments will be served.

SERVSAFE FOOD SAFETY CERTIFICATION
A two-day ServSafe Food Safety Certification class will be held in Philadelphia in the Neshoba County Coliseum multi-purpose room on Aug. 13 and 14.
Registration deadline is July 11.

John Robert Irby Benefit
Benefit auction for John Robert "JR" Irby will be held on July 19 beginning at 11 a.m. at Ford's Store on Highway 16 East. Pulled pork plates will also be sold for $10. Please donate items for the auction. Drop off items at Ford's Store before the day of the auction.
NCHS Class of 1964 50th Reunion
The Neshoba Central High School Class of 1964 will have a 50-year class reunion on Saturday, Aug. 23 at 6 p.m. at the Senior Citizen Center located at Northside Park. The cost will be $15 a person and dress is casual.

Free Summer Meals
Youth Development and Education Center, Inc. is proud to announce that we will be sponsoring a Summer Food Service Program beginning June 2 through Aug. 8, at Providence M.B. Church in Philadelphia. These nutritious meals are provided thru USDA guidelines. Breakfast will be served from 8-9:30 a.m. and lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
This is a summer meals program provided without charge to school age children up to age 18. There will be no discrimination based on race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability.
This is a community based project scheduled from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. everyday which plans to also include educational and recreational activities of reading, tutoring and some physical activities. For more information contact Annette at 601-732-7390.
REGISTRATION FOR NESHOBA COUNTY Youth Football and Cheer
Neshoba County Youth Football and Cheer is offering early bird registration beginning Feb. 28 and ending July 12. Cheer registration will be $85 as opposed to $100; includes a complete uniform. Five and 6 year old tackle is $40 as opposed to $50. Seven to 12 year old tackle is $50 as opposed to $65.
After the July 12 deadline all Early Bird prices will be void and registrants will be required to pay the regular in season fee. A copy of a live birth certificate is also required of each registrant. Neshoba County Youth provides game jersey and game pants for all football season which is to be returned at the end of the season.
A lunch is also provided on in-season away games for every child that is a part of cheer and tackle. There is an End of Year Banquet where awards for each child are provided during the banquet.
