Outdoor Easter Drama
Pine Grove Church of God at Edinburg is presenting the outdoor Easter drama, "His Passion-Our Redemption" on the church grounds on April 12 and 13 at 7:30 p.m. each night. A 5K obesity walk/run will be held Saturday morning in conjunction with the Black Rodeo. Proceeds from the walk will go to Boys and Girls Clubs of Neshoba County and the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians. The fee for the walk is $10. Kids 12 and under admission is free. One Way Quartet
High Hill Baptist Church, Neshoba County, will host One Day Quartet in concert for their Fifth Sunday Gospel Singing on Sunday, March 30 at 6 p.m.
Rev. Don Cook, pastor, and Mike Barker, music director, invite the public the attend.

Herbert Baptist Church Revival
Herbert Baptist Church will host a revival on March 23-26. Times are Sunday at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. and Monday through Wednesday at 7 p.m.
The church is located on Mississippi 491, south in Union.
Guest evangelist will be Dr. Michael Thurmond. Everyone is invited to come and worship.
Passes Qualifying Examination
Dr. James Lock, of the Walnut Grove Medical Clinic, has successfully passed the 2013 Qualifying Examination and has been designated by the American Society of Hypertension Specialists (ASH) as a certified hypertension specialist.
Dr. Lock is a native of Brandon. He graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg and Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tenn. Dr. Lock completed his internship and residence at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Dr. Lock's practice is at the Walnut Grove Medical Clinic, located at 199 Rimmer St. in Walnut Grove.
Benefit for Baby
A benefit will be held for Baby Current, the son of Ben and Carrie Wallace, on Saturday, April 5 at Thunder Ridge.
Music starts at 7 p.m. by Pinnishook along with special guest, Nashville musician Zack Logan.
Pulled pork plates will be ready at 5 p.m. at $7 per plate.

The St. Paul MB Church's youth revival will be held March 24-28 at 7:30 p.m. There will be a different messenger each night: Evangelist Mary Watkins on Monday, Pastor Beverly Gill on Tuesday, Evangelist Patricia Griffin on Wednesday, Pastor Marie Hawthorne on Thursday and Pastor Alene Parker on Friday. New Destiny at Cedar Grove

Seed Starting 101
Seed Starting 101 will be presented on Saturday, March 29 from 9 a.m. until noon at the Dorman Greenhouses on the MSU campus. Learn how to prepare soil; control, temperature and light; transplant and avoid diseases, plus more tips and techniques for starting your own annual vegetables, herbs and flowers from seed in this hands on workshop. Domestic Violence Awareness Event
Care Lodge Domestic Violence Shelter in Meridian will hold a public awareness event on Thursday, March 20 from 12 to 1 p.m. at the Philadelphia-Neshoba County Public Library. Bring your lunch and join us for an informative session to learn about domestic violence and the resources available for your community to support victims and their families. The event is open to the public.
The annual Herrington family reunion will be held on Saturday, March 29 at noon in the fellowship hall of Pine Grove Baptist Church in the House community. All descendents of the Herrington family are invited to attend. Bring a covered dish and enjoy the fellowship. A party with Disney characters will be held Saturday, April 5 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon for $10 per child at East Philadelphia Baptist Church.

Pastor Kelly Tingle of Enon Missionary Baptist Church invited everyone to attend spring revival on March 23-26. Evangelist Brian McBride will be bringing the messages. Sunday services will be at 11 a.m., followed by lunch in the fellowship hall, then afternoon at 1:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday nights will be at 7 p.m. each night. Fish Fry & Rummage Sale

Benefit Singing and Auction
Four County Benefit Committee and Crossroad Church will be hosting a benefit singing and auction for Neze Moore, cancer patient, on March 22 at Crossroad Church of God near Sebastopol. BBQ chicken plates will be sold from 10 a.m. until. Gospel singing will start at 2 p.m. with special singers Matt and Wanda Clark, Allen Anderson, Jason Price and Pete Graham. Feature group will be Southern Heritage from Philadelphia at 5 p.m. Auction at 6 p.m.

JA of Philadelphia will host a two-person scramble golf tournament. JA "Fore! the Kids" golf tournament will be March 29 at Philadelphia Country Club.

Parents, do your children need help with homework? Tutors are available on Mondays at the Booker T. Gym starting Monday, March 17 from 5-6 p.m.
This is for students in grades K-8 in subjects: reading/language arts and math.
Students will be tutored by retires teachers and/or volunteer teachers from our school districts, as well as administrators and parents from within the community.
All parents are responsible for their children getting to and from the gym.

Neshoba County Shrine Clubs Annual Barbeque Chicken Plate Sale
On Saturday, April 5 the Neshoba County Shriners will hold their annual barbeque chicken plate sale at Vowell's Marketplace/Fred's/Dirty Cheap Shopping Center.
The sale will start at 11 a.m. and will go until 1:30 p.m. The cost this year is the same as it has been for the past several years, only $7 and you will get an entire half of barbeque chicken, slaw, baked beans and roll.
Come on out and help this great organization with its annual fundraiser and enjoy some really good eating. As always the Neshoba County Shrine Club Members thank this wonderful community for its continued support of this fundraising activity.
Registration for Neshoba County Youth Football and Cheer
Neshoba County Youth Football and Cheer is offering early bird registration starting Feb. 28 and ending on July 12. Cheer registration will be 85 as opposed to $100. That includes a complete uniform. Five and 6-year-old tackle is $40 as opposed to $50 and includes the game jersey and pants.
Seven to 12-year-old is $50 as opposed to $65 and includes the game jersey and pants. A live brith certificate must be presented.
Neshoba County Youth provides game jersey and game pants for all football season to be returned at the end of the season.
Neshoba County Youth Football also provides a lunch for every child that is a part of cheer and tackle.
It also provides awards for each child at the end of the year during an awards banquet.

Liberty Tax Service of Carthage and Kosciusko will be helping Camp Rainbow in Utica. Camp Rainbow is a place for cancer patients and survivors to go for a five-day retreat.
This camp has been working non-profit for 30 years. Last year it lost all funding from the American Cancer Society. It takes $40,000 to run this 5 day retreat. And we want to help with what we can.
We need your help to support this camp for these children. So, come on out to McMillan Park on March 29 at 12 noon and purchase a chicken plate and drink.
