Selection for Neshoba County's Miss Hospitality 2014 will begin soon. This scholarship program represents Neshoba County and competes at the state level for title of Mississippi's Miss Hospitality. Boys & Girls Club Raffle
Boys & Girls Club of Neshoba County is selling raffle tickets for a 32 GB Ipad Mini. Chances are $5 each. Drawing will be Dec. 19. Tickets can be purchased at the Boys and Girls Club, 239 Byrd Ave. or from any board member.
First Church of God, located 435 Columbus Ave., will sponsor a Holiday Marketplace featuring unique arts and crafts, gift items Saturday, Dec. 7 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Family Life Center.

Sardi's Baptist Church will be having a homecoming celebration on Nov. 24. The service will begin at 11 a.m. with Dr. Floyd Paris bringing the message. A fellowship meal will follow the morning service. There will be no Sunday school or evening service. Bro. Michael Wells is pastor.
The annual meeting of the Tucker Volunteer Fire Department will be held Nov. 25 at 7 p.m. at Station 1. All members are required to attend.
Friends and Family Day
Everyone is invited to come and help us celebrate our Friends and Family Day at The Word of God Church on Nov. 24 at 3 p.m. with praises, prayers and singing. Bro. Herman Bufkin and his singing group will be our special guest group for singing, but anyone that has someone to sing is welcome to participate. Our host pastor is Pastor D. Stribling. A revival at Christian Life Apostolic Church will be held Thursday through Sunday starting at 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday.
East Neshoba Fire Protection District will conduct their election of officers on Nov. 21 at 7 p.m.

Library Fall Book Sale
Friends of the Neshoba County Public Library will hold a Fall Book Sale. The Book Sale will be held on Tuesday through Thursday, Nov. 19-21 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. The library will provide reusable canvas bags with the library name on them. A variety of books and magazines will be available and persons can pick what they want to fill their bags. Community Bible Study
A community Bible study is held each Wednesday morning from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. at the Word of God Church located at 231 Line St. You don't have to be a member of the church to take part. For more information, call 601-575-1942.
Word of God Community Outreach
Come browse through our clothing community outreach. You will find many name brand clothing. The community outreach is open each Saturday morning from 8 a.m.-12 noon located at 23 Line Ave. All we are asking for is a .50 donation per item.

Basketball Season is Here
The Neshoba County and Philadelphia Youth Basketball Organizations are now taking registration applications for Booker T. Basketball. This is for children ages 6-16 for the 2013-2014 season, Nov. 6 until Dec. 6
You can register at City Hall, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or at the Senior Citizens building located at Northside Park from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. Registration is $25.
On Nov. 23 and 30 from 10 a.m. until 12 noon you can register at the Booker T. Washington Gym, also we will conduct a meeting for all persons interested in volunteering or coaching the 2013-14 Basketball League. Come play Bingo
Attention Senior Bingo players come join us on Tuesday nights at 5 p.m. for a fun night of bingo and a chance to win great prizes. This event will be held at the Senior Citizens Building located at Northside Park. There will a $2 entry fee and refreshments will be served. So come out and have some bingo fun.

The Greater Ebenezer MB Church will he having their Family and Friends Day on Nov. 24 at 2 p.m. The public is invited to attend Pastor Pervis Mann Sr. Guest speaker is Rev. Frank Washington, pastor of Mt. Hermon MB Church.
The Christian Life Apostolic Church will have a Revival on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Evangelist Keith Phillips will be attending.
Westside Community Meeting
Let's stop the violence and take back our community. On Dec. 2 at 6 p.m. at Westside Park Community Center. Everyone in the community is expected to attend this meeting. This affects you.
A Christmas auction will be held for the Neshoba County Veterans Association on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 7 p.m. until.

Searching for Descendants
A family member is searching for descendants of William Nance, born in Kemper County Miss., in 1875, and Mollie Nance Litchfield, born in Kemper County in 1864.
They were children of Richard Davner Nance Sr. and Mary Jane Mayo Nance.

Community Clothing Outreach
The Word of God Church at 231 Line St. has a community clothing outreach every Saturday from 8-12. The clothing is donated from the community. A 50 cent donation is asked for each piece to help in the ministry of the church. For more information, call 601-575-1942.
Contributions for the upkeep of Jones Cemetery may be mailed to Walter Reid, 1126 Ebenezer Church Road, Preston, Miss. 39354.
