COLDWATER BAPTIST CHURCH REVIVAL

Revival services will be held at Coldwater Baptist Church from Sept. 29 - Oct. 2. Bro. Don Savell will be the guest speaker and Larron Johnson will be in charge of the music. Sunday services will be at 11 p.m. and 6 p.m. Services Monday through Wednesday will begin at 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend.



Agriculture Recognition Day

Neshoba County Farm Bureau would like to invite you to the Neshoba County Farm Bureau Agriculture Recognition Day on Sept. 26 at 6 p.m. at the Neshoba County Coliseum. The main speaker will be Mississippi's Deputy Commis-sioner of Agriculture Andy Prosser. This event is for all ages and there will be educational materials as well as food from most of the commodities. Door prizes will also be awarded at the event.



Lynville School Reunion

The annual Lynville School reunion will be held on Saturday, Oct. 5 at the school.  Any student who attended the school or teacher who taught is welcome for the event. The reunion begins at 11 a.m. and continues through 1 p.m. Many people have worked diligently  so that the meeting can be held in the school.

Small Engine Repair Class

Instruction in small engine repair, including the theory of operation, carburation, ignition systems, and internal engine components, is being offered at the East Central Community College Productivity Enhance-ment Lab located at the Philadelphia/Neshoba County Career-Technical Center.

Classes will be held on eight consecutive Thursdays beginning on Sept. 19 from 6 to 9 p.m. Gary Sanford will be serving as instructor.

Cost of the class is $150.

SUPPORT FOR FALL FUN DAY NEEDED

This is the eighth year for the Fall Fun Day for special needs youth of Neshoba County. It will be held Thursday, Oct. 24 in the Neshoba County Coliseum. Assistance from church groups, civic clubs, families and others is requested to conduct various activity booths for the children that morning from 9 a.m. till 11 a.m. Sponsorships for this event are also requested. Miss Hospitality

Selection for Neshoba County's Miss Hospitality 2014 will begin soon. This scholarship program represents Neshoba County and competes at the state level for title of Mississippi's Miss Hospitality. Polkville City Limits gospel group of Polkville will perform at Zion Church of God Sunday, Sept. 22 at 6 p.m.



Mt. Nebo Anniversary

Mt. Nebo M. B. Church, located at 257 Carver Ave. in Philadelphia, invites you to their 66th church anniversary, Sunday, Sept. 25 at 3 p.m. Rev. John Ball will be the guest speaker. During our program we will share special moments to honor our deceased members and if anyone  has a picture of a deceased church member of Mt. Nebo please bring it to the church no later than Wednesday, Sept. 18 so that it will be included on our memoriam page. A meal will follow in the fellowship hall. Mt. Nebo M.B. Church is where Rev. M. Octoberfest

Philadelphia-Neshoba County Arts Council will hold Octoberfest on Saturday, Oct. 19 at DeWeese Park (next to library). There will be lots of great food, entertainment, children's games and arts and crafts.

GENEALOGY PROGRAM

The Neshoba County Public Library will host a genealogy workshop, "Archives A to Z," Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 10 a.m.

Mrs. Anne Lipscomb Webster, Mississippi Department of Archives and History, will be the guest speaker.

Pierce Family Reunion

The Bud and Pearlie Sharp Pierce annual family reunion will be Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Bloomfield Congregational Methodist Church fellowship hall. All relatives and friends are asked to bring a covered dish and old pictures and enjoy the day with us.



Hope Baptist Church Homecoming

Enon Missionary Baptist Church Revival

Revival services will be held at Enon Missionary Baptist Church will be Sept. 22-26. Brother Don Savell will be the guest speaker. Sunday services will be at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. following lunch in the fellowship hall. Monday through Thursday will begin at 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend. The church is located on Road 248 in the Golden Grove community.



Fall Revival

Center Hill Baptist Church will be in revival on Sept. 15-18 on Sunday at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. and on Monday-Wednesday at 7 p.m. Guest speaker will be Rev. Tommy Jones. Everyone is welcome.



Prairie Chapel UM Church

SERVSAFE FOOD SAFETY CERTIFICATION

A one-day ServSafe Food Safety Certification class will be held in Philadelphia in the Neshoba County Coliseum multi-purpose room on Nov. 15. The registration deadline is Oct. 15. Individuals who require special accommodations to participate should contact the Extension Office to make their request known prior to the program. Contact should be made timely to ensure appropriate accommodations.



The Fresh MArket

The Fresh Market@The Depot will have the last farmer's market of the growing season Saturday Sept. 21, 8-noon. The fresh market has been open the third Saturday of the month featuring locally grown produce, baked goods, honey, farm eggs and milk, goat cheese, and speciality foods prepared by cottage industry vendors. Holiday Marketplace

First Church of God, located 435 Columbus Ave., will sponsor a Holiday Marketplace featuring unique arts and crafts, gift items Saturday, Dec. 7 from 8a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Family Life Center.

Neshoba Central "Big Blue" Alumni Reunion

Band directors Daniel Wade, Scott Sullender and Mrs. Amanda May would like to invite all Neshoba Central High School Band Alumni to join "Big Blue" for our second annual reunion, Friday, Oct. 4. We will march in with the "Big Blue" Marching Band and can play with the band during first, second quarters and during halftime on the field! Goodway Baptist Church Fall Revival

Goodway Missionary Baptist Church will have its fall revival Sept. 16-20 at 7 p.m. nightly. Rev. Bernard Mitchell will be the guest minister.



Community Clothing Outreach

The Word of God Church at 231 Line St. has a community clothing outreach every Saturday from 8-12. The clothing is donated from the community. A 50 cent donation is asked for each piece to help in the ministry of the church. For more information, call 601-575-1942.
