Homecoming and Revival
Pine Road Church of God Dixon will have its homecoming services on Sept. 15 at 10:30 a.m. with lunch. Following revival services begin at 6 p.m. on Sept. 15 and 7 p.m. on Sept. 16-18. The speaker will be the Rev. Jerry Germany.
Masquerade Jewelry and Accessories Sale
The Neshoba County General Hospital Relay Team is sponsoring a Masquerade Jewelry and Accessories Sale on Thursday and Friday, Sept. 12 and 13 in the Pear View Café. Doors will be open 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. both days. Cash and credit cards are welcome. No checks please. Everything is $5.
Experience the Frenzy and help support our Relay Team. All proceeds benefit the 2014 Relay Team of Neshoba County General Hospital - Nursing Home.
COLDWATER BAPTIST CHURCH REVIVAL
Revival services will be held at Coldwater Baptist Church from Sept. 29 - Oct. 2. Bro. Don Savell will be the guest speaker and Larron Johnson will be in charge of the music. Sunday services will be at 11 p.m. and 6 p.m. Services Monday through Wednesday will begin at 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
CARVER AVENUE REVIVAL
Revival services will be held at Carver Avenue N.D. church on Sept. 8 and 15 (first, second and third Sundays). Services will begin each night at 6 p.m. The guest speakers will be Rev. Sylvester Hampton, St. Paul M.B. church, Philadelphia;ila. and Rev. Johnny Simpson, Calvary M.B. church, Shuqualak, Sis. Beverly A. Gill is the pastor. Everyone is invited to attend.
Agriculture Recognition Day
Neshoba County Farm Bureau would like to invite you to the Neshoba County Farm Bureau Agriculture Recognition Day on Sept. 26 at 6 p.m. at the Neshoba County Coliseum. The main speaker will be Mississippi's Deputy Commissioner of Agriculture, Andy Prosser. This event is for all ages and there will be educational materials as well as food from most of the commodities. Door prizes will also be awarded at the event.
The Kea Fryery reunion will be held Sept. 15 at 10 a.m. at the Neshoba County Coliseum. Please bring a covered dish.

Missionary Ministry Program
Mt. Lynville School Reunion
The annual Lynville School Reunion will be held on Saturday, Oct. 5 at the school. Any student who attended the school or teacher who taught is welcome for the event. The reunion begins at 11 a.m. and continues through 1 p.m. Many people have worked diligently so that the meeting can be held in the school. The meal will be catered for $10 and will include a choice of meat and two vegetables. Please let someone listed below know by September 25, 2013, so that we can have an accurate account. Please bring a lawn chair so you can visit with your former friends and classmates. Small Engine Repair Class
Instruction in small engine repair, including the theory of operation, carburation, ignition systems, and internal engine components, is being offered at the East Central Community College Productivity Enhancement Lab located at the Philadelphia/Neshoba County Career-Technical Center.
Classes will be held on eight consecutive Thursdays beginning on Sept. 19 from 6 to 9 p.m. Gary Sanford will be serving as instructor.
Cost of the class is $150.

SUPPORT FOR FALL FUN DAY NEEDED
This is the eighth year for our Fall Fun Day for special needs youth of Neshoba County. It will be held Thursday, Oct. 24 in the Neshoba County Coliseum. Assistance from church groups, civic clubs, families and others is requested to conduct various activity booths for the children that morning from 9 a.m. till 11 a.m. Sponsorships for this event are also requested. This project is sponsored by the Neshoba County, Philadelphia and Choctaw Disability Children's Foundation.
Selection for Neshoba County's Miss Hospitality, 2014 will begin soon. This scholarship program represents Neshoba County and competes at the state level for title of Mississippi's Miss Hospitality. Mt. Nebo Anniversary

The Mt. Nebo M. B. Church will have a rummage sale Saturday, Sept. 14 at 257 Carver Avenue in Philadelphia from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. The sale will include a variety of clothing, shoes, purses, electronics & household items. All proceeds will benefit the Mt. Nebo's Pastor's Aide.

Philadelphia-Neshoba County Arts Council will hold Octoberfest on Saturday, Oct. 19 at DeWeese Park (next to library). There will be lots of great food, entertainment, children's games and arts and crafts.

NESHOBA COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY
The Neshoba County Public Library will host a genealogy workshop, "Archives "A to Z," Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 10 a.m.
Mrs. Anne Lipscomb Webster, Mississippi Department of Archives and History, will be the guest speaker.

Henry's Chapel Revival
Henry's Chapel United Methodist Church, located on Fork Road, announces their annual fall revival will begin on Sunday, Sept. 15 and continue through Tuesday, Sept. 17. The services will begin each evening at 6:30 p.m.
Rev. John Branning will be the guest preacher. He is a native of Neshoba County and a 1992 graduate of Neshoba Central High School. He received his associates degree from East Mississippi Community College in 1994 and a bachelors of science in 1997 from Mississippi State University. In 2000, he earned his M.DIV from Memphis Theological Seminary. John was ordained a deacon in 1999 and an elder in full connection with Mississippi Annual Conference in 2001. He has served four pastorates since entering the ministry in 1994 and currently is the Lead pastor of Central United Methodist Church in Meridian. John also has served as a Chaplain in the Mississippi Army National Guard for seven years and completed a tour in Iraq in 2010-11. He is married to the former Traci Jones of Philadelphia and they have three sons, BJ, Aidan, and Jasper.
