Longino Center Dance
There is a dance every Friday night featuring the Sundowner's at Longino Center, a smoke-free family atmosphere. It starts at 8 p.m. There is an $8 cover.
Bounds Avenue Church
Pastor Ricky Rogers invites everyone to experience a true meeting week after week at Bounds Avenue Church.
The Philadelphia Police Department and the Community Policing Neighborhood Association are asking for your assistance in donations for school supplies for the children of Philadelphia Elementary School. Any donation would be greatly appreciated.
Calling all senior citizens ages 60 and up to come join us every Tuesday at 5 p.m. for a fun night of bingo and a chance to win great prizes. This event will be held at the senior citizens building located at Northside Park. There will be a $2 entry fee and refreshments will be served.

Friday Night Entertainment
Come one, come all and listen to the delightful music by Derrell Fulton and The Night Shift Band at the Stallo Community Center. Dance the night away to old favorites, contemporaries and music written by some of our own band members. Enjoy great company in a smoke free atmosphere. An $8 cover charge includes coffee, soft drinks and bottled water. Join us every Friday night beginning at 8 p.m.
Wildfire at VFW Post
Wildfire will be playing your favorite classic Country Music every Friday night beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the VFW Post on Highway 16 east. Jess Pickard is on lead guitar and guitar synthesizer and vocals.
On saxophone, fiddle and banjo is Danny Kirkland; lead guitar and vocals, Glynn Johnson; piano and organ and vocals, Danny Donald; drums and vocals, Bill Burkes; and guitar and vocals, Eatha Wilson. This is a smoke free, family atmosphere.

Youth football and cheer
Neshoba County Youth Football and Cheer is offering an early bird registration of $50 for football and $75 for cheerleading. Registration will be held every Saturday at 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. unless weather condition occurs. After that the price for football is $65 and cheerleading is $100. Registration will be held on the old soccer field at Northside park.

NESHOBA COUNTY FARMERS' MARKET
The Neshoba County Farmers' Market is open and will remain open through August.
The Market is located behind the Farm Bureau office located on Highway 16 east.
The market is open every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 6 a.m. until all produce is sold.
Vegetables expected to be available at the market this week include string beans, squash, cabbage, onions, potatoes, peppers, cucumbers and possibly tomatoes.
Searching for Descendants
A family member is searching for descendants of William Nance, born in Kemper County Miss., in 1875, and Mollie Nance Litchfield, born in Kemper County in 1864.
They were children of Richard Davner Nance,Sr. and Mary Jane Mayo Nance.
They were brother and sister to my grandmother, Rebecca Jane (Dinkie) Nance Ferguson. Any information will be welcome.

Addiction Recovery Classes
Twelve Steps to G.R.A.C.E (Godly Recovery Applying Christ's Example) is held each Thursday evening beginning at 6 p.m. with a meal for participants with program starting at 6:30 and ending at 7:30.

The price for full-pay student lunches will increase from $1.75 to $2 in the Philadelphia Public School District beginning with the 2013-2014 school year.
No other meal prices will increase.
This increase will become effective on the first day of school, Wednesday, Aug. 7.

Annual Thomas Family Reunion
The descendants of William Washington and Lena Catherina Phillips Thomas, whose children are George Washington Thomas, James Allen Thomas, William Melton Thomas, Albert Miles Thomas, Frances Jane Thomas Brantley, Dock Kelly Thomas, and Columbus Thomas will hold the annual Thomas family reunion at the Madden Lions Club at Madden on Sunday, July 21 at 11 a.m.

Truck driving Program
Earn your CDL by letting us bring the training to you at our Decatur, Louisville, and Philadelphia locations.
To be eligible, you must be at least eighteen years old for an Intrastate License; twenty-one years old for an Interstate License; pass the DOT physical and drug screening; have no more than two moving traffic violations in the past two years; and no DUI's or reckless driving convictions in the past five years.
Classes will begin on Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013, for five to eight weeks.
Cost of the class is $2,500 which includes tuition, drug test, DOT physical, all licensing fees, and job placement assistance. Financial assistance may be available.
