Class of 1973 Reunion
The Philadelphia High School Class of 1973 will be having their 40th reunion, the weekend of Oct. 18-20 (PHS 2013 Homecoming).
In addition to all of the graduating classmates, anyone who was in school at PHS (but may not have actually graduated from PHS) is invited.

Friday Night Entertainment

Wildfire will be playing your favorite classic Country Music every Friday night beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the VFW Post on Highway. 16E. Jess Pickard on lead guitar and guitar synthesizer and vocals. Youth football and cheer
Neshoba County Youth Football and Cheer is offering an early bird registration of $50 for football and $75 for cheerleading. Registration will be held every Saturday at 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. unless weather condition occurs.
The early bird registration will end July 6. After that the price for football is $65 and cheerleading is $100. Registration will be held on the old soccer field at Northside park. 'First Steps' Workshop
"First Steps - the Process of Starting a Small Business" is the topic of a workshop scheduled Tuesday, June 25, sponsored by East Central Community College's Small Business Development Center.

NESHOBA COUNTY FARMERS' MARKET
The Neshoba County Farmers' Market is open and will remain open through August.
The Market is located behind the Farm Bureau office located on Highway 16 east. The market is open every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 6 a.m. until all produce is sold. Vegetables expected to be available at the market this week include string beans, squash, cabbage, onions, potatoes, peppers, cucumbers and possibly tomatoes.

Searching for Descendants
I am searching for descendants of William Nance, born in Kemper County Mississippi in 1875, and Mollie Nance Litchfield, born in Kemper County in 1864. They were children of Richard Davner Nance, Sr. and Mary Jane Mayo Nance.
They were brother and sister to my grandmother, Rebecca Jane (Dinkie) Nance Ferguson. Any information will be welcome.

There will be a benefit for Joe Mason, a member of Philadelphia Dept-Work Program, on Saturday, June 29 at Deal's parking lot at 10 a.m. until sponsored by Brothers in Blue and Police Department/Court Clerk.
There will be barbecue pulled pork plates with chips for $6 and brisket plates with chips for $7.
There will be a bake sale with carmel cake, pound cake, Italian creme cake, brownies, cup cakes and cookies. They will be sold individually.

Addiction Recovery Classes
Twelve Steps to G.R.A.C.E (Godly Recovery Applying Christ's Example) is held each Thursday evening beginning at 6 p.m. with a meal for participants with program starting at 6:30 and ending at 7:30.
DOC approved class with an emphasis on the transforming power of Christ will be located at Grace Baptist Church, 111 Grace Ave., Philadelphia.
