Summer Reading Donations Needed
The Neshoba County Public Library is seeking donations for its upcoming summer reading program. Needed items include, but are not limited to, small toys and new or gently used stuffed animals. Donations may be dropped off Monday-Friday during library hours.

Pre-K Program Registration
The Neshoba County School District Pre-Kindergarten Program is located the at the Neshoba Count Parent Resource Center Building at Valley View. If you wish for your 4-year old child to be tested for the pre-K program, come to the Parent Resource Center for registration from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m on May 1-15. It is not necessary for your child to be present on the day of registration. If all registration materials are presented, an appointment will be assigned for your child to be screened for placement. If you have questions regarding registration documents needed, call the Federal Programs office at 601-656-4484.
Blaine Bowman will be ministering in the word at Freetrade Church of God on Sunday, April 28 at 6 p.m. and on the following Monday and Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m. The church is located seven miles east of Carthage on Highway 488.
Friends of Neshoba County Library Book Sale
The friends of the Neshoba County Public Library will hold the annual used Book Sale, Monday-Friday, April 15-19. The sale will be in the Neshoba County Public Library at 230 West Beacon Street.
The Junior Auxiliary of Philadelphia is holding a book drive in memory of Ann Marie Graham. "Read for Ann Marie" will start on April 1 and continue through April 26. On April 29, the day after Ann Marie's birthday, the books will be distributed to our local headstart and daycares based on number of books collected. Please drop off books at the following locations: The Citizen's Bank, Cadence Bank, Regions Bank, Commercial Bank, Merchant's and Farmers Bank, and Gipson Cleaner's. Monetary donations can be turned into any Junior Auxiliary Member.
Adult Softball League
The Philadelphia Sportsman Club will again sponsor the men and women's softbal league at Westside Park. Starting date is May 20. The entry fee of $150 per team and must be paid by May 6. Relay for Life Golf Tournament
There will be a three-person scramble on April 25 at Dancing Rabbit Golf Course. Sign in begins at 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Shot gun start at 1 p.m. $100 registration per person. Instruction in "Introduction to Computers: Learn How To Setup, Edit, & Format Documents" is being offered at East Central Community College's Integrated Technologies Training Center in Choctaw.
