Automotive Repair

An eight week "Basic Automotive Repair" class is being offered at the Career-Tech (formerly Vo-Tech) Center. Tentatively the class will meet on Wednesdays from 6 to 9:15 p.m., beginning March 20. 2.5 CEUs will be given for this course. The cost is $75 due at registration.

Sewing Design Class

Neshoba Central High School Class of '73

Our class reunion is coming up May 4. Organizers need a head count for the caterers. Please send in your money and profile sheets before March 15. If you are unable to attend, we would still like to have your profile sheet. Everyone, please help us make this the best reunion yet. The next meeting will be April 1 at Ronnie's Steak and Grill at 6 p.m.



Junior Auxillary

Junior Auxiliary will be hosting annual Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday March 24 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Northside Park. We are asking for a $2 donation per child. All proceeds will be going to the Philadelphia Boys and Girls Club. Bring cameras as the Easter Bunny will make special appearance.



TRAINING

A Private Applicator Certification class will be taught on Tuesday, March 12, beginning at 4:30 p.m. in the Neshoba County Coliseum multi-purpose room. Individuals wishing to obtain private applicator certification may call the Extension Service office at 656-4602 to pre-register for this training. A $10 registration fee will be charged for the class.

Individuals who require special accommodations to participate should contact the Extension office to make their request known prior to the program. Contact should be made timely to ensure appropriate accommodation.



Registration for Preschool

First United Methodist Church Weekday Children's Ministry will hold registration in March for toddler and Preschool classes. So stop on by and fill out an application. Registration fee is $50. If you have any questions, please call 601-656-1417.

NARFE Meeting

The monthly meeting of the Central MS Chapter 1251 of NARFE (National Active and Retired Federal Employees) will be held Wednesday, March 6 at 11:30 a.m. at Ronnie's Steak and Grill, 734 Pecan Avenue. American Legion Post The American Legion Post 138 and Ladies Auxiliary will meet Tuesday night, March 12th at 6:30 p.m. at the Post home. We will be celebrating the birthday of the American Legion. The meal will consist of potluck dishes and deserts.

PRIVATE APPLICATOR TRAINING

Storm Spotter Training

The Neshoba County Emergency Management Agency will be hosting a storm spotter training course presented by the Jackson National Weather Service Forecast Office on Monday March 4th beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Justice Courthouse Building across from the Neshoba County Courthouse. This course will last from one to two hours and will provide an overview on the basics of how to detect severe weather and relay severe weather information.

No registration is necessary, there is no cost for the course and the public is invited to attend.

Mt. Olive Baptist Church

Donations Requested

The Philadelphia Police Department and the Community Policing Neighborhood Association are asking for your assistance in donations for school supplies for the children of Philadelphia Elementary School. Any donation would be greatly appreciated.



Bingo Night

Calling all senior citizens ages 60 and up. Come join us every Tuesday at 5 p.m. for a fun night of bingo and a chance to win great prizes.

This event will be held at the Senior Citizens building located at Northside Park. There will be a $2 entry fee and refreshments will be served. So come out and have some bingo fun.
