Lynville High Reunion

Lynville High School will hold its annual reunion on Saturday, Oct. 6 at  the Western Sizzler Steakhouse at 1100 N. North Calvary Homecoming

The annual homecoming service at North Calvary Baptist Church, 922 North Pecan Ave., will be held at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14. The guest speaker for this occasion will be Dr. James Bryant, a former pastor. Music will be under the direction of Mrs. Karen Cumberland.

A fellowship lunch will be enjoyed following the service. Current and former members are urged to attend this special time of worship and fellowship. The public is invited.



NCHS Class of 1982 Reunion

SUPPORT FOR FALL FUN DAY NEEDED

This is the seventh year for the Fall Fun Day for special needs youth of Neshoba County. It will be held Thursday, Oct. 25 in the Neshoba County Coliseum.

Assistance from church groups, civic clubs, families and others is requested to conduct various activity booths for the children that morning from 9 a.m. till 11 a.m. Sponsorships for this event are also requested. This project is sponsored by the Neshoba County, Philadelphia and Choctaw Disability Children's Foundation.



The Grace Pace

A one mile fun run, 5k-10k run/walk to be held Oct. 6 at Grace Baptist Church in Philadelphia. Race packets can be picked up at VIP Rehab, Shelter Insurance or Grace Baptist Church. The proceeds go to the Diamond League, the ball league for disabled children in Philadelphia. The race will be timed by Mississippi Race Timing. For more information call 601-728-9588.

The Center for Pregnancy Choices is selling ribs and Boston butts as a fundraiser. The prices are $20 for a slab of ribs and $25 for a Boston butt. Tickets may be purchased from any board member or you may call the CPC at 656-9712 to place an order. The meat may be picked up at the CPC on Thursday, Oct. 11 from 2-6 p.m. It's being cooked by the Piggly Wiggly in Collinsville. Would make a great tailgater for the State or Ole Miss game that weekend.



Fish Fry at Bloomfield Church

Bloomfield C. M. Church will have a Fish Fry on Saturday, Oct. 6. Donations only. All are welcome to come. Take Highway 486 East, turn at Bloomo Restaurant. Serving from 4-7 p.m. There will be a singing after. All singers welcome.



Grace Fest

Grace Fest will be on Saturday, Oct. 6 starting at 7:30 a.m. Activities include car, truck, motorcycle show, games and jumpers for the kids, and vendors for the ladies. We will also have an Auction at 4 p.m. followed by an all you can eat stew and gospel singing for only $7. All proceeds go to fund mission projects for the youth at Grace Baptist Church. All events held at Grace Baptist Church located at 111 Grace Avenue.



Conn Reunion

The ancestors of Alex Andrew and Suddie (Spears) Conn will have their annual reunion at the Neshoba County Coliseum on Saturday, Oct. 6. All relatives and friends are invited. Pleased bring a covered dish.



G.W. White Family Reunion

G.W. White Family Reunion will be on Sunday, Oct. 7 at Linwood Community Center at noon. Bring a covered dish.



Callaham, Rishers reunite

The Callahan and Risher reunion will be held at the Leake Academy Cafeteria on Sunday, Oct. 7 beginning at 10 a.m. Bring pot luck to be served at noon.



Forest Dale School Reunion

Associated Brotherhood of Christians Conference

You are invited to our annual Associated Brotherhood of Christians Conference beginning on Tuesday night, Oct. 2-4. There will be day services on Wednesday and Thursday as well as night services. WARD and WILKERSON REUNION

The descendants of Tom and Pearl Wilkerson Ward will meet Sunday, Oct. 7 for our 24th annual reunion. It will be in the  park in Union at the pavilion.  Friends and relatives are invited to come and bring a covered dish.  There are only three of the couple's children left. Hope to see you there to enjoy the day.

Benefit Ride for James Hulbert Fortenbery

There will be a Trail Ride for James Hulbert Fortenberry on Oct. 20 in Rosebud. There will be horse and wagon trails. It will be $10 per person.

Gospel Singing

Pearl River United Pentacostal Church is having a gospel singing on Friday, Oct. 12 at 7 p.m. The Singing Sanders Family with daughter Angela Adams and their granddaughter Mary Ann.

New County Line Baptist Church

New County Line Baptist Church will have Homecoming Services on Sunday, Oct. 14 beginning at 10 a.m. Brother David Winstead will bring the message. Angela Adams and family will be guest singers. Bloomfield Methodist Church Revival

Revival services will be held at Bloomfield Congregation Methodist Church (Highway 486, take the right at Bloomfield Restuarant) on Sunday, Oct. 7. Alzheimers Care Giver Support Group

The monthly Alzheimers Care Giver Support Group will meet Oct. 8 at 6:30 p.m. in the Neshoba County Nursing Home Activity/Dining area.

Special guests will be Alabama Animal Assisted Therapy dog and Stacey Cook from the Neshoba County Nursing Home. The advantage of pet therapy for people with dementia will be discussed. All caregivers and families of people with Alzheimers dementia are encouraged to attend.

25 Year Reunion for NCHS

The NCHS class of 1987 will celebrate their 25 year class reunion on Saturday, Oct. 27 beginning at 6 p.m. at the Northside Park Senior Citizen's Center. The cost is $30 per person or $50 per couple if paid before Oct. 13.

Bailey Family Reunion

All descendants of the Reverend Edward Bailey and family friends are invited to the 132nd annual Bailey Family Reunion.

Fifth Pastoral Anniversary

The 5th Pastoral Anniversary and the 25th wedding anniversary of Rev. Sylvester and Barbara M. Hampton will be held on Oct. 7 at 3 p.m. Services will take place at the St. Paul M. B. Church. The couple will renew their wedding vows. Their son, Elder Carlos Miller will conduct the ceremony. Everyone is invited to attend.



Dowdle Reunion

Descendents of William John Dowdle and Catherine Pace Dowdle will meet Saturday, Oct. 13 at Lucern Clubhouse, Union. All family members and friends are invited to attend. Come early and bring a dish of food for a noon luncheon.

PRIVATE APPLICATOR TRAINING

A Private Applicator Certification class will be taught on Tuesday, October 16, beginning at 4:30 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose room of the Neshoba County Coliseum.

Individuals wishing to obtain private applicator certification may call the Extension Service office at 656-4602 to pre-register for this training. A $10.00 registration fee will be charged for the class.

Individuals who require special accommodations to participate should contact the Extension office to make their request known prior to the program. Contact should be made timely to ensure appropriate accommodation.



FARM BUREAR ANNUAL MEETING

Neshoba County Farm Bureau Annual Meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 9th at the Neshoba County Coliseum. The meal will begin at 6:30pm. There will be door prizes. All Neshoba County Farm Bureau members and their families are invited to attend.



Hudson Chapel Homecoming

Hudson Chapel Church Of God will be having their homecoming service Sunday Oct. 7. Terry Terrell will be our guest singer/speaker.

Homecoming at Sandtown
