The Naval Science instructors at Neshoba Central High School Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps have selected the new commanding officer and executive officer to guide the cadets through the 2013-2014 school year.

Leading the cadets this year as commanding officer is Cadet Lieutenant Peyton Williamson, son of Karen and Shannon Williamson.

A senior and four-year member of the NJROTC, Cadet Williamson is also a member of the track team, the Cross-Country team and a member of Beta. After high school Williamson plans to attend Texas A&M and study Aerospace and Aeronautical Engineering and eventually fly Jets in the Navy.

Selected as the Executive Officer is Cadet Lieutenant Morgan Shingler, daughter of Vanessa Waddell and Robert Shingler. Cadet Shingler was born in Memphis, Tennessee, but raised in the Pearl River Community.

In her free time, Shingler enjoys being a mentor for new cadets, going to the gym, and roller skating.

After high school Cadet Shingler plans to apply for the University of Mississippi NROTC program.
