The Neshoba Central JROTC competed at Tulane University, "Battle of New Orleans" drill meet with 10 schools and brought home the overall first place trophy, qualifying the unit for the Area 8 Championship meet in March.

Team trophies include: first place in Athletics, Team Captain Dylan Belk and Alyssa Nash; first place in Armed Basic drill, commanded by Peyton Williamson; first place in Tandem Exhibition drill, Cadets Hunter Ramsey and Andrew Moore; second place in Unarmed Basic drill, commanded by Morgan Shinger; third place in Color Guard, commanded by Mickayla Kaszubowski;

Decond place in Unarmed Exhibition, commanded by Morgan Shingler; third place in Academics Team Captain, Peyton Williamson; and third place in Personnel Inspection, commanded by Peyton Williamson.

Individual medal winners include: first place male pushups, Peyton Williamson with 117; first place male situps, Dylan Belk with 301; first place female pushups, Priscilla Castro with 67; first place female situps, Mickayla Kaszubowski with 181; and first place in knockout drill, William Gay.

Again Congratulations NJROTC on the overall first place finish, school officials said.
