Wednesday, October 9, 2013 1:00 AM
The 154th Mississippi State Fair started Oct. 2 and goes through Oct. 13. This year we have 13 4-H'ers exhibiting 28 head of beef and dairy cattle. The beef cattle were exhibited the first weekend of the fair and dairy cattle will be exhibited the second weekend of the fair.
4-H'ers exhibiting at the Mississippi State Fair from Neshoba County are: Helen Beason, Hunter Beason, Cole Beason, Micaela Beason, Casea Cheatham, Chandler Fortenberry, Cayla Fortenberry, Logan Nowell, Mattie Katelyn Nowell, Chloe Pinter, Brody Pinter, Elizabeth Sanders and Summer Sanders. I hope you will travel to this year's Mississippi State Fair and support these 4-H'ers. Look for results from the state fair in the next few weeks.
Congratulations to Marsha Pinter and Leslie Fortenberry and other Neshoba County Volunteers on coordinating an outstanding Neshoba County Beef Classic September 21 at the Neshoba County Fairgrounds. We had 44 head of beef cattle at our first show to be held in September.
