This year two Neshoba County 4-H'ers competed at the State 4-H Shooting Sports Invitational in Pearl at the Law Enforcement Training Facility. Lane Miles competed in compound archery and Elizabeth Sanders competed in .22 rifle. Lane placed 36th and Elizabeth placed ninth. Congratulations to each of them.

4-H PET SHOW RESULTS

This year we had nineteen participants in the 2013 4-H Pet Show held recently at the Neshoba County Nursing Home. We had one cat, two rabbits, a Jersey calf and 15 dogs of all sizes. They consisted of Chihuahuas, Golden Retrievers, Pomeranians, Dachshunds, Catahoulas, Feists, Beagles, Dalmatians, English Shepards, Terriers, Jack Russells, Cocker Spaniels and Chows. Specific results were as follows.

Steve Bowman, having the only cat won the best dressed cat, smallest cat and largest cat. The best dressed dog went to Haygen Baysinger - first place; Helen Beason - second place; and Judy Savell - third place. Most unusual pet went to Micaela Beason - first place; Ty Skinner - second place; and Ellie Breazeale - third place. Cutest pet went to Janna Fitzgerald - first place; Ethan Breazeale - second place; and Ava Skinner - third place.

Most obedient pet went to Landon Beason - first place; Steve Bowman - second place; and Estel McLaurin - third place. Largest dog went to Talia Webster - first place; Landon Beason - second place; and Estel McLaurin - third place. Smallest dog went to Ellie Breazeale - first place; Payton Skinner - second place; and Janna Fitzgerald - third place.

Best of Show honors went to Micaela Beason with her Jersey calf. Congratulations to each of these participants.
