Circuit Court Judge Marcus Gordon will be the guest speaker during Monday's Memorial Day program in DeWitt DeWeese Park.

The program will begin at 11 a.m.

Judge Gordon has held his position in the court for 35 years.

He graduated from Union High School in 1950. He went to East Central Junior College on a basketball scholarship. He continued his education at the University of Mississippi.

He returned home to practice law in Union and Decatur.

Gordon is a former county attorney and district attorney.

He and his wife, Polly, have four children and two grandchildren.

He is a member of First Baptist Church of Union.

Carr Arthur will serve as master of ceremonies for the Memorial Day program.
