A Neshoba County woman has been arrested for allegedly shooting her boyfriend in the chest following a domestic dispute last week.

Amber Fortenberry, 39, of Philadelphia allegedly shot her boyfriend, Jarron “Bama” Branning, in the chest with a .380 handgun following an argument in the early morning hours on Thursday, Feb. 6 at the couple’s home on 12010 BIA 0241, the authorities said.

Branning was initially taken to Neshoba General hospital, but has since been receiving treatment in Meridian.

Fortenberry’s official charge is listed as domestic violence-aggravated assault. 

Neshoba County Sheriff Eric Clark she was released on a $15,000 bond.
