A Philadelphia man was charged in connection with a July 7 altercation on the Neshoba County Fairgrounds which left one young man seriously injured, the authorities said.

Tyler Kilgore, 21, of Deer Creek Road, was charged with aggravated assault in connection with the incident, said Neshoba County Sheriff's Investigator Kevin Baysinger.

Kilgore was charged with assaulting Colby Breazeale, 19, of 552 Holland Ave., about 3 a.m. near the barns, Baysinger said.

"Kilgore confronted Breazeale and crushed his left eye socket," he said, noting that Breazeale underwent surgery last Thursday.

The altercation stemmed for an earlier alleged incident involving a female, he said.

Kilgore later turned himself in to authorities after a warrant was issued for his arrest.
