Man faces felony drug charge after PD stop

A Philadelphia man faces a felony drug charge after a large amount of marijuana was found in his vehicle after he was stopped on Ivy Street by police.
Samuel Ykeem Boler, 21, of 256 Lewis Ave., was charged with felony possession of marijuana enhanced after he was arrested on April 8.
Police Sergeant Tavaras Smith said two pounds of individually wrapped packages of marijuana, a handgun and $400 in cash were seized from the center console of the vehicle after the traffic stop.
Smith, along with Police Chief Bill Cox, said the case remained under investigation. Additional arrests are expected.
"Hopefully we'll be doing a few more [arrests]," Smith said. "We're trying to move up the ladder."
Chief Cox said he wanted to assure the public that his officers were working hard to keep drugs off the streets.
