A Neshoba man has been charged in connection with two separate burglaries at a residence in the Burnside community.

Thomas G. Sistrunk, 27, of 10120 Road 571, was charged with two counts of house burglary, Sheriff Tommy Waddell said.

Sistrunk is charged with the Sept. 17 burglary of a house on county Road 571 where a skil saw and prescription medication was reported taken, the sheriff said.

He is also charged with the Sept. 24 burglary at the same house where medication and a shotgun were reported taken.

Both times, entry was made inside by prying open a lock on the back door, Waddell said.

"The first time he tried to put the lock back," he said.

Sistrunk was arrested on Sept. 25 at his home by Investigator Ralph Sciple.

"We are still trying to recover the items," the sheriff said, noting that Sistrunk lived next door to the house that was burglarized.
