Mississippi Department of Employment Security (MDES) has a Cutting-Edge Website and Mobile App that connect employers and job seekers.
Finding a job or finding an employee for a job has never been easier, officials said.
Whether you are looking for a job or hiring to fill a job, there is only one login page you will need through the Mississippi Department of Employment Security's website allowing you to click away to new opportunity. Try it out and let MDES Online Services and Technology work for you at: www.mdes.ms.gov.
Once you do, you will experience an array of services, features and programs that will benefit both employers and job seekers. The search is easy, the services are free, and you will be on your way to fulfilling either a career change or a vacancy in your business, officials said.
The login page features online employment services. The usability is simple, it's easy, and it works. Whether you're trying to get information about unemployment insurance, creating a job order, or looking for a job in our online job bank, there is only one login page you'll need and creating the account couldn't be easier. If you are already a registered online user, your current user ID and password will provide you access to all services, employment and unemployment. Start by choosing the option for you: Register as a Job Seeker, or Register as an Employer.
For an Employer: By creating an account, MDES can match you to available candidates based on your job opening requirements. For a Job Seeker: By creating an account, MDES can match you to available jobs based on your experience and preferences.
People an use the job-Vite on the MSWorks Mobile App or go to mdes.ms.gov. The job-matching mobile app pairs employers and job seekers through both a website and a mobile application. The website, www.mississippi works.org, along with integrated iPhone and Android mobile applications, is a real-time, web-based system that puts cutting edge technology at the fingertips of Mississippians everywhere. If you are a college grad, or looking to hire a college grad, go to: MSGradJobs.com website. It is yet another link from mdes.ms.gov created to showcase graduates of Mississippi's universities and colleges.
The Mississippi Works System also aids the Mississippi Department of Employment Security in quickly identifying Mississippians who have filed for unemployment benefits and then matches those individuals with appropriate jobs that need to be filled in the state.
The Mississippi Works system was developed through a partnership with the Governor's Office, MDES and nSPARC, a nationally recognized research center at Mississippi State University.
The site and app function is a one-stop shop, allowing job seekers to search for openings based on job type, location, or academic degree required, and allowing employers to post openings at no cost and make connections with qualified candidates needed to fill positons for their businesses.
