The Lydian Music Club met May 9 at 6:30 p.m. at Joan Hight's home.

The president, Cary Eldridge, presided. He called for the club collect, the Federation Hymn and the "Together We Sing" selection which was "The Arkansas Traveler."

During the month of May, music clubs celebrate National Music Week. This was the program theme.

Rebekah Watson, a piano student of Sue Lewis, was our special guest performer. She played au matin, which means "at evening."

Mr. Eldridge also performed a medley of patriotic music which included "Over There," "You're a Grand Old Flag" and "Yankee Doodle," by George M. Cohan.

'He also played "My Love," from "A Southern Garden Suite" and "Tara," the theme from "Gone With the Wind."

Carol Kilpatrick gave an interesting book review on "The Shack," by William P. Young.

Those present were Joan Hight, Ruth Conn, Sue Lewis, Glenda Richardson, Terri Donald, Jean Yates, Carol Kilpatrick, Mr. Eldridge, Jo Beason and Libby Waddell.

The club welcomed guest Rebekah Watson.
