On Saturday, Feb. 23, over five hundred students gathered at Meridian Community College for the purpose of HOSA District Competition. Twenty one of those attending were from the Philadelphia Neshoba County Career Tech. Center. Sixteen of these students advanced to the next level of competition in their events. Four students earned a two year tuition paid scholarship for placing first in their event. Congratulations to the following students for their accomplishments:

Hannah Pilgrim - first place in Medical Math

Emilio Suarez and Tommy Martin - first place in CERT

Gabrielle Bates - first place in Personal Care

Kiera Parker - second place in Medical Law and Ethics

Rachel Rogers and Shea Tate - second place in Career Health Display

Keona Sanders - placed third in Medical Terminology

Reneadra Thompson and Melody Willis - placed third in CPR/First Aid

Shantel Jenkins, Mallorie Youngblood, and Brittany Whitcomb - placed third in Health Education

Ivey Commer - placed third in Clinical Nursing

Randa Irons and Katlyn Hatcher - placed fourth in CERT

State Competition will be held April 10-12 in Natchez.
