Lights of Love ceremony set for Sunday in hospital lobby

The Neshoba County Hospital-Nursing Home Auxilary's annual Lights of Love fundraiser ceremony will be held on Dec. 8 at 2 p.m. in the administrative lobby.
In the past, the public has made a donation to place a strand of lights on the tree in honor or memory of a loved one. This year's fundraiser is changing slightly.
The hospital will provide the lights for the tree, and the public is asked to make a $5 donation to place an ornament on the tree.
The ornaments will be personalized with the name of your loved one. If you decide to make a donation for someone else, a card will be sent to the family informing them.
Last year's fundraiser brought in approximately $2,500.
The money raised will go into the auxilary account and distributed as needed.
"Our purpose for the fundraiser is to buy things for the hospital and nursing home that is not in their budgets, said Melissa Burnett, director of volunteer services.
"They come to us when there is something they need and we try to fill the need."
Members of the public are encouraged to attend the ornament hanging ceremony and personally hang the ornament they purchased.
Everyone that helps with the fundraiser is a volunteer at the hospital. If you would like to volunteer to help, stop by the gift shop to pick up an application.
