I, Kenneth Edwards, proudly announce my candidacy for the office of Sheriff of Neshoba County. I honorably served our country in the U. S Navy of which I retired with seventeen years in law enforcement. Currently, I serve in the capacity of Neshoba County Veteran Service Officer. I’m also a member of the Philadelphia/Neshoba County Rotary Club. I’m also a member of MHSAA District 4 referee for high school football and youth basketball.

I’m the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Murkey Amerson of the Sandtown community . My wife is Juawarkita Griffin Edwards, daughter of Phyllis and the late Jay Boler. We share one wonderful son Ken Edwards II, who will graduate with his Nursing degree in May 2019. My family and I attend Macedonia United Methodist church where I am the head trustee. We reside in the Arlington community.

I kindly ask for your vote and  support as I seek the office of Sheriff. My goal is to add more personnel to the roads where all calls can and will be answered in a timely manner. I’ll  work with all elected officials of the City of Philadelphia, the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indian  and Neshoba County Board of Supervisors. The Sheriff Department will be  proactive in the community, to better control crime .

I’m excited about putting my 17 years of law enforcement experience to work for you. Please stand with me as we embark on this new journey together. Your next Sheriff Ken Edwards.
