The late Maggie and Milton Jayroe reunion was held Saturday, June 8, at the home of Don and Lynda Crawford. Eighty persons attended the event.

Having raised 12 children, Maggie and Milton resided and farmed in the Tucker Community about three miles south of Philadelphia on Highway 19. Ten children survived, married, and had children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of their own.

Attending from the Pauline Jayroe Sharp family was son, Jerry Sharp and wife, Gail from Philadelphia.

At age 95, the third oldest child, Clara Mavis (Mae) Jayroe Sharp from Wiggins, attended the reunion with all her children: daughter, Ann Sharp and husband, Ken Ernhart and Daughter, Cyndi Kalpac all from Little Rock, Arkansas; daughter, Dorothy Sharp and husband, Bill Clayton from Wiggins; son, Leon Sharp and wife,Tommie from Wiggins; and son, Bob Sharp and wife, Phyllis from Wiggins.

Attending from the Willis Jayroe family was granddaughter, Savonna Jayroe Mikell from Philadelphia; daughter, Ruth Jayroe Whitehead and husband, Douglas from Philadelphia, granddaughter, Jennifer Whitehead and husband, Christopher and children, Jake and Loren Matthews from Ridgeland.

Attending from the Charles (Dub) Jayroe family was his wife, Margie and son, Jethro Jayroe from Philadelphia.

Attending from the Mildred Jayroe Sharp family was daughter, Nancy Sharp Joyner and husband, Jerry from Union. and son, Scott Joyner and wife, Jodie and sons, Walker and Chase Joyner from Ridgeland; daughter, Lynda Sharp Crawford and husband, Don from Philadelphia; son, Dewayne Sharp and wife, Judy from Philadelphia and daughter, Cindi Sharp Kennedy and daughters, Dees, Lynnzie and Lynna Clair Kennedy from Quitman; grandson Jody Sharp and wife Aarah and son, Paxton Sharp from Philadelphia; grandson, Tanner Jay Sharp from Philadelphia, son of Mike Sharp (deceased).

Attending from the Frances Jayroe Hicks family was son, Glen Hicks and wife, Susan from Vicksburg; son, Tim Hicks from Vicksburg and grandaughter, Jennifer Hicks Wilson and sons Hunter and Braydon Wilson; daughter Joyce Hicks Hunt from Utica.

Eighth child, Margaret (Tootsie) Jayroe Rickles from Philadelphia attended with daughter, Kathy Rickles White and husband, Ernie from Union, MS and son, Richard and son Jamie Rickles from Philadelphia.

Ninth child, Billy Jayroe attended with wife, Rita; daughter, Pat Jayroe Seales; daughter Linda Jayroe Madison and husband, Ronald and daughter, Christy Madison Winstead and son, Tyler and daughter, Maggie Winstead; son, Tam Jayroe and wife, Geraldine and daughter, Lindsey Jayroe Johnston and husband, Tommy and daughter, Gracie Johnston; grandson, Jay Jayroe, all from Philadelphia.
