A Bogue Chitto man was killed Friday after he was struck by a vehicle in the Tucker community in what authorities described as a "hit-and-run."

Graysonn Tomiah Amos, 30, of 155 Bogue Chitto Circle, was pronounced dead at the scene, Sheriff's Investigator Ralph Sciple said.

"A motorist saw the body on the side of BIA Road 0247 at the intersection of James Farmer Road in the Tucker community Friday morning at 3:57 a.m.," Sciple said. "We don't know if he was walking down the road or not. He had been run over by a vehicle. There was no identification."

The body was later identified by a family member, he said.

Anyone with information about the incident was asked to call Sciple at 656-1414 or Nicholas Monk with Choctaw Police at 656-5711 or 663-7921.
