A Neshoba County native will compete for the title of Miss Tennessee this week after winning the preliminary title of Miss Tennessee Soybean Festival.

Madison Hardy, daughter of Mike and Sarah Hardy of Philadelphia, will compete for the crown starting with preliminaries Wednesday through Friday at 8 p.m. at Carl Perkins Civic Center in Jackson, Tenn.

The final night of competition will be Saturday beginning at 7:45 p.m.

Contestants will compete in interview, swimsuit, evening gown and talent.

Hardy, a Nashville resident, will sing "A Sunday Kind of Love" for her talent.

Hardy, 24, is a graduate of Neshoba Central High School and Belmont University in Nashville where she earned a bachelor in business administration in music business.

She is employed at MTV Networks as a licensing assistant.
