Four men were charged in connection with shots being fired into an occupied house in the Dixon community earlier this month.
No one was injured in the Aug. 2 incident.
Michael Gibson, Sr., 36, of 336 Conehatta Road, Union; Billy Talley, 21, of 10040 Road 1303, Union; Brutarius Talley, 20, of 227 Wilson St.; and Bruce Talley, 42, of 14821 Mississippi 15 south, were arrested and charged with felony shooting into an occupied dwelling.
Gibson was also charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.
Sheriff Tommy Waddell said the incident was reported at 12:30 p.m.
"Shots were fired into a residence on county Road 402 in the Dixon community," he said.
"Several people were inside the home, including children, when the incident occurred," he said.
After the shots were fired, the sheriff said, deputies spotted a vehicle that matched a description provided earlier.
The four men were arrested in a traffic stop county Road 410 in the Linwood community, he said.
Waddell said that two handguns, a .45 and a .38, were seized as evidence.
"Casings matching the guns were found at the scene," he said.
The case will be turned over to the grand jury, he said.
