Could we maybe getting some fall weather! Saturday and Sunday were so beautiful and cool. We hope you are having a blessed week. Happy birthday to Nathan Henson in Okla, Nelda Harmond's grandson. Happy birthday to Mrs. Gertrude, Aug. 26 and August Rushing on Aug. 29.
We went and visited with my sister Ann Palmer and my son stopped by and visited with us for a while. We had a yard sale and there came people that we could share the Lord with. It's wonderful to know there are folks that love the Lord and don't mind telling the world about Him in these days and times.
We heard from some of the grandchildren this week. They are doing good, but just wanted to check on how Merkell and myself were doing. We enjoyed the message Sunday morning by Bro. Lamar Day. Pray for him and his family as he continues to serve the Lord.
So many people tell me they read the Fork news every week and enjoy it. God bless you for reading the paper and keeping up with our county and town news. We have a lot to be proud of here. Stand up for freedom, some places are not as safe as our home town. Our prayer list this week: Ricky Roberson, Mrs. Viriginia Copeland, Ann Benson, Michelle Davis, Eitha Burkes, Charles Butler, Dock Parker, Frankie Stewart, Jerry Williams, Nell Mason and also several unspoken prayer request.
My brother, James Cumberland, got a good report this past week. Also Marshall Coats got a cancer free report this past week, praise the Lord for this.
James 1:12: "Blessed is the man that endureth temptation for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him."
Our hearts go out to the ones who lost love ones this week. A special hello to all the people living in the Fork community. Pray for all the churches and their pastors that through their messages souls will be drawn to Christ. God bless everyone.
