Well, it's back to school for the children and teachers this week. Watch out for the children getting off and on the buses.

Mrs. Betty Tolbert called from Wisconsin Saturday about her friends and family in our community. She asked for Dorothy Fain to call her.

Mrs. Nelda Harmond called from Oklahoma. She is doing good and sends a big special hello to all her friends in Philadelphia.

Happy birthday to Ricky Glass, Aug. 5, to Linda Glass, Aug. 6, Clara Dunn, Aug.16 and Christine Burns, Aug. 12. We hope they are having a special day.

My daughter, Valeria, will be visiting us the 11th day of August for a few days.

There are several special unspoken prayer requests this week. A lot of people need our prayers on a continual basis. Continue to lift up J.C. Ladd and his family, the Loper family of Union and all our community churches and their pastors. Pray for all the cancer patients in our area. Continue to pray for Virginia Copeland and Eddie Kibby.

The young at heart will be singing at Choctaw Residential Center and Atwood Assisted Living Center on Aug. 12.

My son, Ray Coats, celebrated his birthday with family and friends on Saturday, Aug. 3.

A special thanks to all volunteers that give of their time to go visit our nursing homes; the ones who sing and also the ones who preach or just go and read to the patients.

"To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under the Heaven," Ecclesiastes 3:1.

We learned that Bro. Ray Fulton passed away. He will greatly be missed. When we would go to sing at Attwood, he would always sing along with us. We pray for his family.

Have a good week and God bless.
