Five children among dead in fatal Neshoba wreck
Six die after vehicle plunges into creek

An accident which claimed the lives of one adult and five children early Saturday morning remains under investigation, Sheriff Tommy Waddell said.
Five children died in a wreck early Saturday morning.
The six died when the vehicle they were traveling in left the roadway and submerged into a creek near the
Neshoba-Newton County line, he said.
The accident occurred on Road 107 shortly after 12:30 a.m.
Pronounced dead at the scene were siblings Dasyanna John, 9; Duane John, 8; Bobby John, 7; Quinton John, 4; and Kekaimeas John, 18 months; and Diane Chickaway, 37, of 1017 Fox Trail Road, Waddell said.
The children's father and driver of the car, Dewayne John, of 10270 Road 604, was taken by ambulance to Neshoba
County General Hospital where he remains hospitalized, Waddell said.
Two other people in the car, the children's mother, Deanna Jim, 28, of 10270 Road 604, and Dale Chickaway, 37, of 1017 Fox Trail Road, were not seriously injured, he said.
All nine were Choctaw Tribal members from Pearl River community, the sheriff said.
