East Central Talented and Gifted (ECTAG) is one of three active gifted consortia in the state of Mississippi that consists of gifted teachers and students.

This consortia allows gifted children the opportunity to regularly meet with like minds from other schools through a variety of outlets such as Scrabble, Egg Drop Engineering Challenge, Quiz Bowl, Talent, Chess, Art and Creative Writing. Gifted teachers from across East Central Mississippi gathered Friday, Aug. 17 as part of a collaborative effort and support network between districts.

Teachers from the following schools participated: Neshoba County, Philadelphia, Newton County, Newton City, Union, Leake County, Leake Central, Morton, Lake, Scott Central, Sebastopol, and Forest.
