Yearbooks produced at East Central Community College in Decatur can now be viewed through the College Web site.

"We are pleased to announce that East Central has recently digitalized and made available a collection of yearbooks from 1937 to 2012," said Dr. Stacey Hollingsworth, executive director for Foundation and Alumni Relations.

Dr. Hollingsworth said the project was made possible through the LYRASIS Digitization Collaborative - a Sloan Foundation grant-subsidized program that has made digitalization easy and affordable for libraries and cultural institutions across the country.

"Through the Collaborative's partnership with the Internet Archive, all items were scanned from cover-to-cover and in full color," she explained. "Viewers can choose from a variety of formats for paging through a yearbook by choosing the 'read online' option, downloading the PDF, or searching the full text version."
