A domestic dispute apparently led to the stabbing death of a Philadelphia woman at a mobile home off county Road 545 about 10 a.m. Thursday, Sheriff's Investigator Kevin Basinger confirmed.
Catherine Thomas, 49, was pronounced dead on the scene of the crime, the authorities said.
A man is currently in custody, but charges have yet to be filed.
Authorities said Thomas entered the home arguing, and the domestic dispute escalated from there.
The Sheriff's Department, East Neshoba Volunteer Fire Department and Neshoba EMS responded to the scene.
