About 100 entries are expected in Monday's Christmas parade, which begins at 6 p.m. in downtown Philadelphia.

The theme is "A Retro Christmas."

Additional parade entries will be accepted through Thursday at the Community Development Partnership office at the depot. The CDP organizes the parade along with the Philadelphia Sertoma Club.

There is a $10 fee for each entry. No horses will be allowed in the parade this year.

The parade will follow the same route as in past years: starting on Poplar Avenue; turning west on Main Street; north on Byrd Avenue; east onto Beacon Street; north on Church Avenue; west on Myrtle Street; and north on Byrd, disbanding at Philadelphia High School.

Winners will be announced as the floats are coming by the judges' podium.

In conjunction with the parade, Main Street will sponsor a Christmas window-decorating contest for area merchants. Windows will be judged on Friday, Nov. 30 after dark.
