Choctaw Residential Center to celebrate 25 years of service on Friday, Dec. 7

The Choctaw Residential Center, one of the state's largest assisted living facilities, is preparing for its diamond anniversary in conjuction with its annual Christmas Open House.
"This is a very important milestone," said Tribal Chief, Phyliss J. Anderson. "For 25 years, the Choctaw Residential Center has provided a warm and caring environment for individuals who need assisted living care. Its service to our community is invaluable, and I wish the entire CRC staff continued success."
The dual Christmas Open House and 25th anniversary festivities are schedule for 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 7 at the Choctaw Residential Center. Residents and employees invite all to attend for live music, fellowship, food and memories.
Opened in October of 1987, the Choctaw Residential Center has provided housing and shelter to a countless number of individuals in need. The CRC - "Where Life is Special" - features a total capacity of 120 beds. That number exceeds the state average for nursing facilities.
